Nuance is the US software giant behind names like eCopy, Equitrac, SafeCom, Autostore and many other document handling solutions. You may have come across Dragon Naturally Speaking on your smart phone - that's their wizardly speech to text app. We've partnered with eCopy since 2006, before it was acquired by Nuance and have worked with their hardcopy scanning and PDF handling solutions since then.
eCopy PDF Pro Office is Nuance's PDF handling suite and the backbone of our own RecordLink 4pdf which integrates this with SIMS, enabling users to seamlessly shunt pdf documents into SIMS as Linked Documents.
Down below you can download the user guides for V6.3 – a good opportunity to brush up on some pdf editing skills. If you haven’t done so already take a look at producing your own stamps such as a signature or for example a big green “APPROVED BY ..” stamp from which you can also construct bespoke workflows.
Another handy tip is to go to Document>flatten once you have edited your PDF. This will render all components into one flat layer.
